sustained

“I am He, I am He who will sustain you.
I have made you and I will carry you;
I will sustain you and I will rescue you.” Isaiah 46:4b

The God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not (Rom. 4:17) would be sustaining No. 5’s eternal soul even if He did not sustain his or her body…but God, who is rich in mercy, has blessed us with a healthy baby at 16 weeks.

And…it’s another BOY!

Praise God with us!!!!!!!

  1. Oh joy! I’m having palpitations over here! My prayers continue for this precious #5. Great way to start a new year, full of hope and thanksgiving.

  2. I’ve stewed over this for a few days, and I found an answer to the question I posed with your last post. Althought I thought “Hope” would be perfect if you were having a girl, you need a different name for a boy. Here’s a thought from some digging (no obligation, but you’re welcome to use it):

    Von meaning and name origin

    Von \von\ as a boy’s name is pronounced von. It is of Old Norse origin, and the meaning of Von is “hope”. Also a respelling of the Dutch-derived Van.

    Von has 3 variant forms: Vondell, Vonn and Vontell.

  3. Yay! ๐Ÿ™‚ That is fantastic news! Praying that Valor’s little brother continues to be healthy and strong until he’s ready to make his grand entrance… ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. I don’t even know you, and I burst into tears when I saw this post! I’m so happy for you! God is good, gracious, and merciful. May this child be blessed with the blessing you are to others.

    ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. I’ve been meaning to leave a message for ages, just to say how thrilled for you guys I am. Now since you haven’t posted an update in a little while I just hope and pray that all is well in the house of Gjertsen…!
